Cañones do Sil

RIBEIRA SACRA & CAÑONES DEL SIL

The Cañon do Sil is a gorge excavated by the river Sil, in Galicia, near the union of this with the river Minho, in the area of the Ribeira Sacra.

Land of vineyards on scarlet slopes, where it seems almost impossible to access. Down there the Ribeira Sacra that winds and unites the rivers Sil and Minho, and above the peace that brought to these monastic places to build beautiful monasteries, what refuges where they dedicated their time and wisdom to honor God and men studying the secrets of the vine.
